I feel like it has been forever since I've posted a DIY...
I have seen socks like these all over the place, but was not about to pay $20+ dollars for a pair. I knew if I could find some cheap socks I could give it my best shot and I think they turned out super cute!
I picked up some knee high socks at Target that were on clearance for $1.50. Then I headed over to Michael's and bought some jewel toned embroidery thread and needles. I didn't know what I was doing at all when I started but I love how they turned out imperfect, gives them a neat look in my opinion.
You can basically pick your colours and just go for whatever you want. The only tip I have is to make sure you keep the thread VERY loose, because it won't stretch and your socks will stretch a lot over your calf. You could use an embroidery hoop to keep it pulled tight or just use your hands like I did and keep the thread as loose as possible.
Ya I know, I'm squinty in most of these pictures but I couldn't help it!
The purple thread didn't really show up in the pictures, but you can see that the socks are different. I'll just pretend I planned that... in reality I didn't leave enough space above the one so I had to put it below. Oh well!

I have another idea for boot socks, just waiting for the time to make them! Hopefully over the break.
What do you guys think?

Those look super cute. I would not have the patience to make them myself. Awesome job :)
