DIY Floral Monogram

I'm here with a DIY I have wanted to make for quite some time and finally got around to!  Something to add to my very plan (very beige) walls in my current bedroom.

All you need for this DIY is:

  • A piece of foam board
  • scissors/exacto knife
  • fake flowers
  • hot glue gun
  • ribbon
I started by drawing the letter I wanted onto the foam board, this took a really long time for me since I am not much of an artist but after about 20 minutes of fighting with my foam board, I realized the shape doesn't need to be very perfect because you're going to cover it in flowers anyway and they'll hang over the imperfect edges!  Or you can take the easier route and buy a letter pre cut and use that. But anyway, this is what I ended up with:

Next take all the blooms of the stems of your fake flowers and get to gluing! This is the fun part because there is no pattern to any of this, although I did start with all the big flowers and then added the smaller, yellow sunflowers in afterwards.

Once your letter is covered and has dried, poke some holes in the back, tie some ribbon to it and hang it wherever you'd like!

My walls are exceptionally plain, but I am moving soon so I haven't bothered to really decorate!
