Google+ That Flour Child: Beechwood Doughnuts

Beechwood Doughnuts

I recently stumbled across this amazing looking donut on Instagram, went to their profile and found out they were located decently close enough to where I live that I had to make the trip.  Appropriate shirt on, we headed out to get our hands on some tasty donuts.

It was lined up before they even opened and stayed lined up until after we were long gone.  They move you through the line super quickly and you get to see them making the donuts in behind.

Price wise I was really impressed that they were not crazy expensive, the only thing was that there was no "deal" if you bought a half dozen or a full dozen.  This is because each donut costs a different price based on how elaborate the toppings or fillings are.  Regardless they were all under $3 and these donuts are the size of my head.

We picked up Raspberry Brownie, Peanut Butter Cup, Apple Fritter, French Toast, Strawberries and Cream and Cookies and Cream.

The french toast donut was my absolute favourite, I could probably eat 6 of them.  Exhibit A:

The apple fritter is also unbelievable.  They had a peach fritter there as well and I seriously regret not getting one of those.  If you live anywhere near the St. Catherine's area I seriously suggest you make a stop at Beechwood downtown.
