ColourPop Haul Part 1 - Eyeshadows

Slightly upset that I missed my family's annual trip to Florida this year, I still decided to take advantage of the US address and placed my first Colourpop order.  I have another big post of all the lippies I picked up but thought I would start off with the shadows.  I'm sure many of you have heard how magical Colourpop's shadows are and if you can get your hands on them without having to pay Canada shipping, the cost is amazing.. only $5 USD each!

Ceramic Glaze Botanical Oasis Collection

I know I'm pretty late to the party on this collection but my nails were in seriously bad shape after having gel on and I had to wait until they were grown out enough to be acceptable for pictures (they still look pretty rough though).
I have never tried Ceramic Glaze nail polishes before, but they are a super affordable option that you can pick up at Shopper's Drug Mart.  And after seeing the gorgeous colours in this collection it will definitely be a brand a check out more often.

Bluebird Tea Co. Haul with Tea & Nail Polish

Today I am doing something a little different, teaming up with Eithne from Tea & Nail Polish.  I recently made a good sized tea order from Bluebird Tea Co. and have split my haul between this post and a guest post over on Tea & Nail Polish.  So if you’re here from Eithne’s blog then welcome!  If you want to see the rest of the haul you’ll have to head on over to her website. 

Bluebird Tea Co is based in the UK and they hand blend their teas to ship worldwide.  I found their shipping costs quite reasonable and will definitely be ordering again. I heard about this UK based tea company from none other than Zoella.  She mentioned their Easter Egg Nest tea on her March Favourites and has mentioned them in a few vlogs and other favourites videos.  So naturally, the first tea in my cart was that one.  If you wish to know more, be sure to head over to their Twitter or website and I’ll get on with the haul.

Based off of the Easter treat that look like little bird’s nests, this tea includes Ceylon black tea and Japanese green tea with toasted rice, marshmallows and chocolate chips. 

Next one I picked up was a classic favourite of mine.

Peppermint Cream is a Quangzthou milk oolong with peppermint and cocoa shells.  This is a delicious chocolately mint tea and is perfect before bed.

Next thing I picked up was one I thought would work great in my new David’s Tea Iced Tea Press.

Strawberry Lemonade is just begging to be brewed over iced with lots of honey.  It’s their best selling fruity infusion.  Containing hibiscus, rosehip, apple, lemon, orange, strawberry, elderberry and sunflower petals.

TRAVEL - Las Vegas, NV

If you follow my instagram (@rmahxo) you will know that I spent this past weekend in Las Vegas for my friend's bachelorette party.  It was all our first time there, we spent 3 days and took in as much of the city as our hangovers would allow.  We definitely did it on a student budget and all promised we'd be back when we had money to blow and do Vegas the right way.  Here are a few pictures/outfits from my weekend.

If you've been living under a rock, you won't have heard about Kylie Cosmetics.  If you haven't you know that they are the most hyped cosmetic launch this year.  They continuously sell out in minutes and are nearly impossible to get a hold of.  I was finally able to get the two shades I had my eyes on (after watching countless swatch videos).  I got my hands on Posie K and Koko K after a couple tries.

April 2016 Planning

With weekend 1 of Coachella over, maybe some of the FOMO you've suffered has passed over, but if you're like me, tomorrow or in the next few days it's only going to come back with full force since weekend 2 is approaching us quickly.  Today, I'm sharing with you some of the things I do to keep my FOMO at ease.

Cookie Dough Brownies

If you ever wanted to take my advice.... now would be the time.  And my advice today is to make these babies ASAP.  Because these things are friggin delicious!  The recipe is from Recipe Girl and I made the lazy version of it because I had a box of brownie mix kicking around in the cupboards and as soon as I saw these I wanted to make them right that second.

MAC Must-Have Mattes + Ellie Goulding

I have recently fallen way too far down the matte lip rabbit hole... I know I sound behind.  It's not that I don't own any matte lipsticks already - it's just that I have purchased only matte lipsticks in the last couple of weeks.  So while my orders to come in, I will share my two favourite MAC matte lipsticks.

Firmoo Eyewear

I have worn glasses since the age of 3.  I have a very strong prescription and have genetics to thank for that.  I've had gone through many cycles of loving glasses and hating them.  There is something so exciting about getting a new pair of glasses but after about a year I tend to get a little bored of them and start to look for another frame.  This can get quite pricey, especially with my prescription being so strong.  An alternative I've fallen in love with recently is wearing my contacts and purchasing affordable frames with no correction in them from different shops.  This is a great way to test out frames and mix up your style frequently.

One of my favourite online shops is Firmoo.  They have great eyeglasses as well as sunglasses to choose from.  And you are able to add prescription if you need to.  I love the case my glasses came in, it is decorated with a map of the world.

I went with these frames in the Tortoise shade since I find black frames a little harsh on my skin tone. The lenses are a little larger than I was expected but a good tip is to measure frame you currently own (if you have any) and compare their measurements on the site.  Since I ordered these to try something different I didn't mind that they were a little oversized.

I really want to order some fun sunglasses for the summertime from Firmoo.

Erin Condren Planner and Etsy Sticker Haul

I think I have fallen down a very slippery slope.  I was first introduced to the #planneraddict lifestyle through a close blogging friend of mine, Ashleigh from Murdock Talks.  Since then, she has won me over with her beautiful spreads and has even started her own sticker shop (more on that later).

I have exciting news for all of you!  If you have been around my blog for a long time you will know that I once had an Etsy shop.  Well, it has had a face lift and now includes chunky knitted blankets.  I absolutely love knitting these and gave many away for Christmas gifts!

I kept my original shop name (which was also my old blog name) because it is very near and dear to my heart and still applies since I am a Master's student.

There are 3 different sizes of blankets to choose from and all are available in 7 different colours.  These blankets are so soft and cozy and every time I knit one I always debate keeping it for myself!
