Sprinkled White Chocolate Chip & Macadamia Nut Cookies

The story behind these cookies is that I had to repay someone for a favour.  Since he wouldn't accept money, I decided to ask what his favourite type of cookie was and since it was one I've never made before I decided to share the recipe I used here.

I also threw some Sweetapolita's sprinkles on them because I love sprinkles and haven't had a chance to use the ones I received in her Sprinkle of the Month club subscription box.  I used her Ice Cream Parlour mix for these, you can shop her unique sprinkle mixes here.

I used (and slightly adjusted) the recipe from The Novice Chef Blog and I highly recommend!

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped salted macadamia nuts
  • Sprinkles for some added colour!

  • Start by preheating your oven to 325F.  Mix together your dry ingredients (flour, baking soda and salt) and set aside.  Cream together your butter and sugars.  Add your egg and vanilla extract.  Slowly add dry ingredients.  Fold in white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts.

Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.  Form balls with dough and slightly squish them down so there is a flat surface to add sprinkles to.  Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly browned on edges.
    Enjoy!
